The Big Day

                        Jake and Brianna broke up over a year ago, but they were both still in love with each other. Brianna's father, Jose, set her up with Rodrigo and today they were getting married. Sadly, it was only for Jose's business deal. Now Jake is on his way to stop the wedding since Tom, his life long best friend, who works for Jose, called Jake and told him that the marriage is a fraud. So Jake's rushing from his out of town conference as fast as he can, to tell Brianna the truth about Rodrigo and win her back.

Backstory: Back in high school, Brianna, Jake, and Tom went to this small private academy where Brianna was the most popular girl in school. Jake and Tom were average lacrosse players. Jake and Brianna met sophomore year when he got hurt at practice and went to the nurse where Brianna sat there injured. She ended up getting kicked of the cheerleading squad because of her broken ankle. From there on Brianna, Jake, and Tom were best friends. And when Tom finally helped him, Jake worked up the courage to ask Brianna out. They dated junior year all the way until they graduated college and she had to choose between him, or her big break as an artist. Jake told her to go, and since then she has been Paris living her dream. It's been 5 years, now she's back in town to get married.


Plot Line (with a little more depth): After college Tom got a job working for Jose's big international company. He did some light travel, but Jake and him were still close friends. Eventually Jake finished his law degree and passed the bar exam. He got a job working as a junior associate for a local law firm. He and Tom bought a penthouse together, so now they're successful businessmen with a bachelor pad. Tom hears through his clever, eavesdropping intern Kevin, that Jose has now "coincidentally" set up a merger with Rodrigo's father's company. Rodrigo is the heir and Jose wants all the fortune in the family, so he secretly set up Rodrigo with Brianna.


The marriage of Brianna Caldera and Rodrigo Alvarez is very suspicious.

"You didn't hear it from me," said the sneaky intern Kevin Jones, "but Jose is up to no good."

The wedding seems a bit rushed.

"Brianna has been very lucky to have met her new husband is such a short spam of time. We are really looking forward to the future," says Jose.

Jake seems oddly quiet, only Tom has heard from him.

"Jake has been doing good. He was just hired at Stevens Law Firm," Tom says.

A lot of their friends, think Jake and Tom are plotting to stop the wedding.

"I know Mr.Dell told his friend about Jose and his shady plans, I heard it on their phone call," said Kevin.

Tom is attending the wedding as a plus one.

"I wasn't originally invited," Tom explains, "Jose just didn't want me to bring a guest."

Kevin and Tom arrived in the same car.

"I brought Tom as a plus one. I just think he should come to his old friend's wedding! I just love weddings," Kevin says.

Brianna has been distant during all this commotion about her "whirlwind" wedding.

"Brianna is nothing but excited," says Jose.

After Brianna left for Paris 5 years ago, Jake wasn't the same.

"It was hard telling her to go, but I guess I'm happy she's back in town. A lot can happen in a few days," said Jake.

Tom has taken a few calls outside.

"Business calls," Tom claims.

Jake has a new job and must attend the company's weekend conference a few towns over.

"He isn't feeling well, I'm not sure if he will stay the whole weekend," Tom says.

Brianna checks her watch about every 5 minutes.

"She's so excited to get married, I bet she can't wait," says "up-idy"bridesmaid Lindsey.

Christine is Brianna's maid of honor.

"We've been close friends ever since she moved to Paris," said Christine.

Jose has been pacing around all morning.

"Sometimes my father can be a little controlling, I think he's just nervous," said Brianna.

Rodrigo and Jose have taken quite a few side bars.

"My father-in-law is a nice guy, just a bit chatty today."

Rodrigo's father, Enrique, will not be attending the wedding.

"Yes, it is true,"  Rodrigo said, "he is a busy man."

Jose spent a lot of time at the open bar.

"He's a bit of a stress drinker," Kevin revealed.

Kevin showed up in a white tux with a purple tie.

"I really express myself through my clothes," says Kevin.
